NEW YORK, MAY 8, 2007 — AT Conference, a provider of conferencing services, announces the addition of Plugin for Microsoft Outlook to its suite of conferencing tools.
The Plugin will be free to AT Conference clients and will simplify the distribution of conferencing instructions via Outlook. Clients can simply click on a button in Outlook and email messages or calendar meetings/appointments will be automatically generated with the host’s embedded conferencing instructions. Guests can be invited directly using Outlook’s address book or added manually.
Conference access information is input via a simple fill-in form at the time of installation. The Plugin is versatile in its ability to work within the Outlook Appointment/Meeting functionality. As an alternative to utilizing the Appointment/Meeting functionality, hosts can also enter conference information into a schedule form in an email. This information is added to the text of the email and attached as an iCalendar file. Recipients of the email can manually add the conference schedule information to their calendar or they can open the iCalendar file and process the information as a meeting invitation. This provides support for recipients with automated calendar functions while also providing the schedule information as text to recipients that do not have automated calendars.
The Plugin is scheduled for full release to AT Conference’s customer base in May 2007.
